What Happens Next?

Industry Experience Route - New Competency Card

You will receive a confirmation email detailing your FENSA Card Person ID and a VAT receipt will be attached

Your registration will be allocated a friendly FENSA Team member who will send you an email which will contain a link to the Online Knowledge Assessment and your Access Code to start your assessment.

You have 4 attempts at passing the Online Knowledge Assessment.  Pass mark is 75% or above.

In preparation for your Online Knowledge assessment, we recommend that you review the documents that you can find in Useful Resources within the FENSA Skills Card section of this website and also attached to the email we send

On passing the Online Knowledge Assessment, you will be contacted to arrange a day and location for your Onsite Assessment which is where one of our experienced assessors will witness you remove and replace a window or door in to a domestic dwelling.

Upon successfully passing both the Online Knowledge Assessment and the Onsite Assessment, your reports will be passed on for the final decision.   

Once approved, your FENSA Skills Card will be printed and issued to the FENSA Approved Installers address unless otherwise advised.

 

Existing Competency Card or Certificate - Competency Renewal
You will receive a confirmation email detailing your FENSA Card Person ID and a VAT receipt will be attached

A member from our friendly booking team will contact you to arrange a day and location for one of our experienced assessors to meet you onsite while you work.

During this visit the assessor will watch you work and have a professional discussion with you about building regulations, Health & Safety and best practices.

Your assessor will report on how you have maintained your competency to continue self certifying your works.

Once the report has been approved as being competent, your new FENSA Skills card will be posted to the FENSA Approved Company's address unless otherwise advised.
